Hospital Wayfinding & Navigation Solution

When Connexient needed to improve their workflow and code quality to keep up with the growing demand for their indoor navigation system, they turned to Kepler Team. Together, we implemented a unified CMS and CI/CD automation method, resulting in a 50% increase in productivity.

Kepler Team helped us get to production during difficult times. They are highly technical and dedicated professionals, and I look forward to engaging their services again in the future.

  • Connexient (an Everbridge Company) creates indoor navigation systems for hospitals and other large campuses. They offer step-by-step indoor navigation available on a mobile app, web application, and kiosks inside campuses. They create a 3D mapping of the buildings and install Bluetooth sensors that act as indoor satellites to provide customers with accurate directions wherever they wish to go.

  • Generally speaking, hospitals are complicated to navigate. Patients, visitors, and staff can struggle to find their way around. To address this challenge, Connexient developed indoor navigation systems for hospitals and other large campuses to provide a multi-channel, multi-modal approach to Patient Experience and Digital Wayfinding.

However, the rapidly growing demand for the business solution proved that the technology and operation systems used by Connexient were falling behind. Their use of multiple digital tools that did not communicate well with each other resulted in long implementation periods and a backlog of projects.

    • Created a more sophisticated operating process.

    • Optimized Connexient workflows by establishing priorities.

    • Built a unified and scalable Content Management System.

    • Improved code quality.

    • Established a clear process for Connexient developers to follow so overall timelines will not get disrupted.

We were thrilled to work with Connexient to help them tackle a common challenge in healthcare - navigating hospitals. By optimizing their workflows and building a unified Content Management System using Docker and AWS, we were able to increase their productivity by more than 50%. Our team also integrated thorough planning and documentation practices into their business process, which enabled their developers to focus on meeting business requirements, code quality, and security. It was a valuable learning experience for us, and we loved being part of the Connexient team.

This partnership was particularly successful, as Connexient was later acquired by the Everbridge Company, demonstrating the positive impact our collaboration had on their business.
